It is more than two centuries since Orientalism and Iranology studies have flourished in the world, and to date, there have been numerous schools, methods and approaches in these fields which have a wide impact on the intellectual, scientific, identity and culture of Iran and the Iranians.
At present, due to the strong presence of Iranians in this field and the numerous efforts of Iranian scholar and thinkers in the direction of nationalizing the knowledge of Iranology, and the growth of familiarity with Iranology in the world, studying the history of Iranology at the international and Iranian levels, and in the range of cultural, historical, literary and cultural studies of Iran seems to be essential.
This two-day virtual international conference is a platform for separate but related meetings in various domains of Iranian studies to address the experiences of Iranology in the past and present, with a look at the future of Iranology in Iran and the world.
