What is the National Archives?
Iran National Archives is an official authority, responsible for collecting, preserving, processing, and disseminating of information on significant records. Thus, it's an important and sensitive hub of research and training as well as a proactive institution to promote the country's national culture.
The National Archives safeguards millions of pages of valuable historical, cultural, economic, etc records. Thanks to the Archives' extensive link with the public sector and the research community of Iran, it provides a strong and efficient back-up for decision-making in the fields of culture, economy, society and politics for the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and acts as an important source for universities and research centers. Legally, the National Records Deputy is responsible to collect and follow up on and supervise the collection of state organizations' non-current records, which are of permanent values. The Deputy carries out the responsibility through its following Departments:
Co-ordination and Evaluation. Arrangement and Description. Repair and Conservation. Dissemination of Information and Communication.
